How long does thigh lift recovery take?
When it comes to thigh fat removal, there is a recovery process needed; during this time, you will be advised to refrain from physical activity while your body heals. For most patients, the typical thigh lift recovery period is around two to three weeks. Furthermore, in the first few days after your surgery, you should be prepared to wear a compression bandage around the area to promote tightening and firming of the skin. Pain medications will be prescribed to deal with any discomfort during this time.
What are the thigh tuck procedural steps?
The procedure steps for a thigh reduction can vary based on whether you’re having an upper thigh or inner thigh lifts. For an inner thigh tuck, incisions are usually made along the crease along the groin and buttock area to minimize the appearance of any scarring. For the upper outer thigh, incisions are generally made along over the hip bone. From there, loose skin on the thighs is separated and removed; in some cases, a drainage tube will also be inserted before sutures are used to close the incisions. The procedure usually takes a few hours.
What are the surgery risks and safety information?
As with any surgical procedure, there are some inherent risks that come along with having a thigh lift done. These may include:
- thigh lift scars
- fluid build-up
